For Sale: Bacon Professional FF No. 2, 1911 - $2,595 USD
Here is a classic Bacon FF Professional #2, 5-string made by Vega around 1911; serial number 451. This model features a blond maple finish, torch inlays on the peg head, and trillium and star inlays on the neck. It is in very good original condition all around, except for the 5th string tuner which is a concession to playability; the original 5th friction tuner is included.
The rim is 10 3/4“ dia., with the Bacon FF internal resonator and “dish” tone ring. All of the rim hardware is original, and it still bears the original (?) Jos Rogers Jr skin head, and original No Knot tailpiece.
The neck is straight and the frets are in good condition. The pear wood peg head overlay has some minor splits near the peg holes, but they have been glued stable. The pear wood fret board has shallow divots in three places above first and second frets. The trillium and star inlays are elegantly engraved and in great condition. Original Planet tuners. There is light wear on the neck, but the finish is intact if marred in a couple spots. The string action is 1/8” at the 12th fret with a half inch bridge.
These Vega-made FFs just don’t come up for sale very much anymore, and this is a very nice one in original condition, and it plays well. It comes with its original (?) case in fair condition. I’m glad to answer any questions you may have. $2595. plus exact shipping and insurance. Please add 3% if you want to use PayPal.

For Sale: Bart Reiter Internal Resonator - $1,600 USD
Original 1988 Bart Reiter 2 f-hole internal resonator for sale. It has a 1 ¼” nut, 26 ¼” scale, and 11” pot. Has a heavy rolled brass tone ring. Some crazing in the finish on the peg head and back of the resonator (like many of Bart’s banjos from this time frame), but otherwise in very good shape. The original case has some wear on the outside, and the lining is pulling away some around the pot area, but still very solid.
This is a very nice Bart Reiter banjo with a wonderful tone. If you would like to see additional pictures, have any questions, or want to talk about the banjo, contact me through this ad.
NOTE: If shipping from Canada is a concern I can ship the banjo from upstate NY.

This is a Gold Tone IT-250 Irish Tenor Banjo B-Stock/Factory Blem. This banjo is in excellent condition except for a minor finish blem on the headstock, just above the low G tuner (the tuning is GDAE). It's a purely cosmetic blem that has no effect on the sound, playability or structural integrity of the instrument either now or in the future. Although it can't be seen very well, please see the close-up photo of the headstock, which shows the location of the blem highlighted by a red circle.

For Sale: The Huber "Carnegie Hall" Banjo - $4,750 USD
Here's a chance to own a collector's item for sure. This banjo was commissioned by non other than Joe Spann during his employment at Huber banjos. The banjo was to replicate Earl Scruggs' banjo configuration during the famous live recording of Flatt and Scruggs at Carnegie Hall.
The banjo features the Huber "Truetone" package with a gold plated HR-30 tone ring and Huber Engineered Rim. This banjo has a mahogany neck and curly maple resonator as did Earl's banjo, but with added concentric rings that are beautiful. The nickel hardware has the "vintage" finish. The banjo also features original Keith/Bump D-tuners and genuine prewar Grover pancake tuners as well. Every detail was carefully matched from the thin peghead overlay to having the famous serial number "9584-3" stamped in the rim. This is the only one in existence and is a VERY "Earl sounding" banjo to say the least. I don't have to sell this banjo but simply have too many others that are not getting played either. This one needs to be out there getting played. 5th string spikes are installed and ships in a brown Superior case.

For Sale: For sale: Bart Reiter Buckbee - $950 USD
I bought this banjo (#3892) in Sept. 2013 from a Hangout member. I liked it so much that I bought a Reiter "A Flat" which has a 24 3/4" scale. I found that the shorter scale worked best for me so I bought a Sagmoen short scale the first if this year and no longer need the Buckbee.
I have the Buckbee set up with a black painted (on the inside) Renaissance head, Aquila "Super Nylguts" and a walnut bridge and tailpiece. The original "no knot" tailpiece will be included along with a new set of AMB cryo strings, the original ebony topped bridge and a couple of bridges for use with nylon strings. The Buckbee has a mahogany neck. I'll ship the banjo in a new, "Musician's Friend" hard case (with padding as the case is for a resonator.)
There is a nick in the neck as shown in the picture.

For Sale: Bart Reiter Grand Concert - $1,900 USD
This is my first open back banjo, bought it new in '93 or '94. It's a been a great banjo, good volume, solid as a rock, in great working shape. I'm playing more guitar now and I want to purchase a Chanterelle fretless I saw here in the ads. The inlay in the headstock has chipped a little as you can see from the image, there is some slight tarnishing to the metal work, and a few small dings on the back of the neck around the fifth fret, they didn't show up in the pictures. Feel free to ask all the questions you want and I'll take any additional images you would like. If I am way off on the price, let me know, I could only find a few around the Internet.
Here is the description from Bart's page reiterbanjos.com/grand.html.

For Sale: Gold Tone BC-120 Banjo- Factory Blem/B-Stock - $425 USD
This is a blem/b-stock Gold Tone BC-120 banjo. This banjo is new and in excellent condition except for the blem, which is a small discolored section in the finish on the edge of the fingerboard, on the bass side of the neck near the body of the banjo. This BC-120 came from the factory with a small finish blem which Gold Tone tried to fix during the set-up process. They improved it, but there is a small outline around the area that was repaired. It is underneath the finish and is smooth to the touch. This is a purely cosmetic blem that has no effect on the sound, playability or structural integrity of the instrument. Although it's not really visible, please see the last photo which shows the location of the blem highlighted in red.
Other than the blem this BC-120 is in excellent condition and comes with a full professional set-up by Gold Tone at their facility in Titusville, FL. A gig bag is also included, as pictured.
The Gold Tone BC-120 normally retails for $899.00, this one is only $425.00, with shipping to the 48 states included.

For Sale: ODE Style C - Trade Pending - $1,000 USD
ODE Model C
Circa 1980 - typical 'style C' specs - appears to be all original, with the exception of a Shubb sliding capo added (short version).
Has some wear on the lower frets, but nothing serious. Plays out just fine.
The banjo does have a few dings and scrapes on the outer resonator sidewall, and one small ding in the neck. Otherwise, I would rate it in excellent condition.
It's currently set-up with a Wadsworth 5/8" bridge.
This is a very fine sounding banjo! I don't think you'll be disappointed in the least. But just in case you're not happy, I do offer a 2-day return policy on all of my instruments. Buyer pays all shipping (insured).
These banjos have somewhat of a narrow width at the nut, approx. 1-1/8". Not for everyone obviously, but I've had success in the past by simply filling the nut and re-filing the slots further apart.
Feel free to ask questions, or request more pics.
Will come shipped in a Richelieu (small badge) marked TKL archtop hard case.
As a note, I do have a special tool here that I will include to adjust the truss rod with. For those not familiar with these banjos, those adjustments are made through a hole in the bottom of the neck heel. Thus, there is no truss rod cover on the peghead.
These banjos were made in the good ole US of A, and are built to last a lifetime and beyond!
Thanks for looking!
