This is a Gold Start GF-85 purchased from Janet Davis about 5 years ago. When I started having back issues a while back, I changed out the tone ring for a Tony Pass hardwood archtop tone ring (the idea was that the brighter arch top sound would compensate for the wood, but I really like the sound better and I don't think it's lost any volume). The bridge is a 5/8" Kat Eye bridge. The original tone ring, flange and bridge will also be included. Includes 5th string spikes and D tuners.
I'm really not sure what the proper standards are for grading the condition of a banjo, so I'm calling this good condition. The nickel plating is definitely "old" looking and no longer shiny. There is one spot where there appears to be tarnish on the ring that holds down the head. The wood finish is in very good shape with no significant signs of wear. If you have any specific parts that you'd like to see pictures of, let me know.
Includes a hard shell case and several sets of strings. If you have a need for them, I have some instructional DVDs I can throw in as well.
