This is a 1978 ODE Style C 6505 5-string banjo that is very solid and sounds wonderful. It has a dark natural finish, double bound walnut resonator, 5 piece walnut / maple neck, 11" head, multi-ply rim, 20 hole flathead tone ring, 1 piece flange, 24 brackets, dual coordinator rods, bound ebony fretboard, floral inlays, 22 frets, headstock overlay features flower and logo inlays, 5 geared tuners, thin neck, and comes with HSC. There has been some decent fret wear at the top half of the neck and they have been previously leveled. The banjo must have been seen a quick temperature change sometime in its lifetime because it has numerous finish (varnish) cracks on the neck and resonator. It has railroad spikes and the original sliding rail in the case. This is a very solid and well built banjo that is for the person who wants a great sounding banjo but not one with a perfect finish.
