2003 Deering Golden Era. Has pre-06 tone ring, specific to the Golden Era, not like what you would get in a Deluxe or maple blossom, or etc. Comes with a gold plated 4 hump adjujstable tailpiece, which works great, and railroad spikes at 7,9,10. BEAUTIFULL woods and flame to the curly maple used throughout. Has a crack in the binding on the top of the resonator sidewall. Completely rock solid, and NOT going anywhere, or affecting structuraly soundness. Also, there is a spot about thesize of a nickel on the back of the resonator, with a ding. NO cracks, NO splits, or anything besides normal playing wear. The finish is amazingly beutiful and has classy w-b-w binding throughout. The resonator is to prewar specs with tapered sidewalls. This banjo kicks. I had the whole thing professionaly set up, and the rim re-fit for the tone ring, as Deering tone rings were real tight back then. It is now a slip fit and sounds AMAZING. If you are looking at this ad, then you know all about the GE. Call or email me with any questions or specific pics you want. I am listing with a good price, hoping a Great banjo goes to a Great player, because this banjo improved my playing from a closet picker to open mics to now playing with a band. Only selling because I have fallen in love with a Bow Tie. Also comes in a canadian hardshell case. I will package it myself to reduce cost, and make sure it is done right. NOTE-Price is 1400, and i have put it on ebay, but will end auction early if anyone is interested.Auction ended, ebay and Bho member mojack613 stiffed me and now im posting for what it went for.
