After much consideration, I have decided to sell my Bishline. This banjo is special in so many ways. I wanted a banjo that was unique, high quality, beautiful and more importantly, had a specific tone I was after. Of course, I also wanted plenty of power. Boy did Rob Bishline deliver. In January of 2009, taking a nod from Chris Pandolfi, of the Infamous Stringduster's, I decided to have this banjo built with a mahogany rim, as well as a mahogany neck and resonator. I really liked the warm, buttery tones that the mahogany rims put out. I also wanted the resonator to be quilted mahogany, as I had never seen one before. Well, Rob delivered exactly what I wanted with a Cox rim and resonator. I then chose a short scaled neck with a radiused fingerboard. The short scale allowed me to navigate the fingerboard a little easier. The radiused fingerboard is just a joy to play. I chose the Flying Eagle inlays in abalone, and had the fingerboard bound in abalone strips. Black powder coated J-hooks, gold tuners and thumbscrews, make this banjo beautiful and one of a kind. About a year and half after owning it, I swapped the original ring out for a Paul Ebbe 20-hole that I traded Dickinnorwich for. I had heard amazing things about the Ebbe rings and wanted to see what they were all about. The new Ebbe ring added a dimension in the lower tones that I really love. The tone of this all mahogany banjo with the Ebbe ring never gets harsh, even when digging in to it. This banjo embodies what customization and quality craftmanship are all about. I hope someone else gets to enjoy it as much as I have. The banjo is showing some fret wear, but is far from a refret in my book. The armrest is tarnished, and the banjo could use a good cleaning. Somehow, I have not yet managed to ding or scratch any of the wood, that I could find. There may be some handling swirls in the finish, but I could find nothing to photograph. The banjo comes with a Kateyz radiused B capo and the Guardian hardshell case pictured. There are some stickers and handling marks on the case. The banjo strap is not included. I am selling to fund another interest. I will try to get some sound samples up soon. Please view the photos on my homepage, in the album. Bishline took professional photos for their website advertisement and did a much better job than my I-phone. My banjo is also featured on the Bishline Banjo's website, under the "customs". I am asking $3700 + shipping with everything included, but will consider offers if you don't need the case or the capo. Thanks for looking! ***Sound file of Fireball Mail now in my music link***
