Up for sale is a recent Flinthill FHB-297 bluegrass maple banjo. The resonator is highly figured, it is gold-plated, and it is also engraved on the tension hoop and armrest. The gold plating is good but seems a little thin on the hoop where the neck meets the head. You can see this in the picture. Overall this banjo is in excellent condition, plays extremely well, looks great, and has excellent tone. As for scratches on the resonator, there are no major scratches or "rash". Full disclosure: there is a slight finish crack under the 5th string peg that I have posted and a couple where the fret meets the binding. Nothing that affects anything but I thought you might want to know. I would keep this instrument myself but I picked it up in a trade and I don't need this many instruments. It comes with an older TKL case that is in good+ condition and a Sullivan bridge. The BHO strap stays with me. Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions. Complete information is posted on the Saga website.
