Vintage Ludwig calfskin head in great condition. Gives the banjo an authentic vintage sound. (I cannot say if that it is the original head.)
New hand made figure maple neck with Ebony headplates, fingerboard and heel cap. Mahogany lamination under the fretboard and heel cap. Tortoise binding to match the one on the rim. 26 1/4 inches scale. Adjustable truss rod with Ebony cover.
Engraved traditional Mother of pearl inlays. Neck is 1 5/16 inch at the nut and 1 7/8 inch at the heel. Low action with a 5/8 bridge.
Five Star tuners with ebony buttons.
Unbleached bone nut.
New no knot tailpiece.
Side dots and fifth string spikes can be added on demand. ( no charge)
