Brooks All-Walnut Open Back. Eleven inch walnut rim. Banjo in excellent condition; no dings or other damage. Solid brass hardware, except gold-plated Gotoh tuners. Sturdy Kerschner tailpiece. Tubaphone tone ring, 3/4 moon bridge, 26 inch scale. Ebony neck and rim cap, black tuners. Very comfortable V shaped neck. Banjo presently strung with nylon but built for steel strings. I wrote Brooks Masten about the banjo. He very kindly got back immediately. He explained that back then he did not build rims; it was a Cox walnut rim; he put the rim cap on it, stained and finished it, and considered it very much one of his. The dowel stick reads Brooks and has the number 82, which may be hard to see in photos. This is a very nice playing banjo. I am offering it only because I have too many banjos and guitars and need to downsize. Shipped in as new case. I have added some better photos.
