This is a brand new 12 " open back banjo, built by me, Bob Flesher, is made of walnut. It is one of my new designs and the first of it's kind. The neck is made of curly walnut and has a 26 3/16 inch scale with my hollow steel non-adjustable truss rod. Under the black ebony fingerboard, peghead overlay, backstrap on the back of the peghead and heel cap is a black/red lamination. The inlays are made of a pale abalone instead of mother of pearl to give a more subtle effect like the old Buckbee and Stewart banjos. The heel is carved reminiscent of the old Buckbee and Stewart banjos except they have black carved ebony berries inlaid into the pattern. This unique appointment is a first in my woodcarving and the only banjo that features it at this time. It also has planatary 5-Star tuners with grained ivoriod buttons. The rim has a 12" diameter and is made of solid walnut with my patented ebony tonering which gives a deep, sweet, woody, melodous tone with a lot of punch and attack. The bottom of the rim is finished with an ebony rim cap trimmed with a red/black/white rope design banding between the ebony and the walnut. All metal parts are nickel plated including my own design petite armrest and my own design "Snub-Nose" tailpiece. It fitted with a Renisaunce head. It also come with a black hardshell "bump" case. Shipping within the contintintal U. S. should be between 40 and 60 dollars.
