This is a very nice Circa 1927 Orpheum No 1 banjo rim and hardware. Serial number 10784. The Original tenor neck with the dowel stick are included. 3 ply bird eye maple rim and cap in excellent condition. Rim has been lightly sanded leaving the original color and sealed with tung oil and wax. Nickle plated brass hardware in great condition, the shoes and shoe nuts have some plating wear but the tone flange and the tension hoop still look like new. The 11 1/4 inch Pre epa Remo bottom frosted head is in good condition. New 5 strings No Knot tailpiece. The vintage armrest is from another Orpheum No1 banjo that I use for parts and is in great shape. the plating is a little tarnish but still covering the brass with no pittings. New figure maple neck. 26 3/8 inch scale , abalone inlays, Ebony and maple binding and laminations, Rosewood fingerboard, headplate and heel cap. Bone nuts. Neck is 1 3/8 inch wide at the nut and 2 inches at the heel. 2 way adjustable truss rod. Neck is very flat and do not give the sensation of a wide neck. Finished with a satin lacker and sealer it is very comfortable. Action is at 2,1 mm at the twelve fret. 11/16 inch maple and ebony bridge. Gotoh 2 band tuning machine with real ebony buttons including the schaller fifth string geared tuner. Strung with Elixir polyweb medium gauge strings.
