I bult this a few years ago from a birch Dan Pennington rim. This was my first banjo build, and so the banjo has a couple of cosmetic issues, but nothing preventing it from being a good banjo.
I made the internal resonator from super curly black walnut, its nice looking. It makes the banjo louder and changes the tone somewhat.
Neck is maple with a curly walnut heelcap and peghead overlay.
Fretboard is ebony with maple binding.
