I'm selling my beloved Stelling Master's Cross standard. I purchased this in 2007 and have played it very little since developing neck problems a couple of years ago. As much as I love this banjo, it's time for me to say goodbye. This has been upgraded with Keith standard tuners and the abalone resonator screws. The banjo is in excellent condition with very light fret wear. It's been sitting in it's case with a humidifier. I take it out about once every couple of months to baby it a little. It's begging to be played. I have the original truss rod cover for the headstock. I'll put it back on before shipping the banjo.
One of the photo's shows a very small water spot mark under the top coat of the finish on the side of the headstock. The finish is intact and smooth. It is not a chip in the finish. The water blemish must have occurred before Geoff put the clear coat on. It in no way impacts the playability of this instrument. I didn't even notice it until I had the banjo for about a year. It's that tiny.
Update: I am including 9 sets of Stelling Medium Strings and 5 sets of American Made Banjo cryogenic strings in different gauges. There are also two extra Stelling bridges that I'll put in the case.
I'm asking $4,000.00 but will consider any reasonable offer. No Trades. You know the quality of this instrument. It's definitely worth the price. I'd prefer to sell to someone face-to-face in North Carolina or within a reasonable drive from Raleigh. We could meet in the middle. I'll ship for free to the lower 48 states.
