I purchased my Deering Hartford new in the spring of 2010. It's the standard model - 22 frets without the pop-off resonator. It's in near mint condition with not a scratch or ding anywhere. The only reason it's not listed as mint is because there is slight fret wear on the first 5 frets as well as a small scratch on the frosting of the head near the tension hoop.
There are no issues with this banjo. It has been well taken care of and has only left the house a couple of times.
It is all original except the bridge (which is now a Nechville compensated). I also added a wooden armrest cover on top of the original armrest. The wooden armrest cover is walnut, custom stained to match the Hartford stain and is a real beauty.
For those who are not familiar with the Deering Hartford model please check out the Deering website for the specs. This is (arguably) the best woodie resonator banjo on the market. It's light weight and a pleasure to play. It comes with the original hard shell case, which is a Deering archtop in excellent condition.
The reason I'm selling it is because I've recently finished building my own woodie resonator banjo and that's all I've been playing these days.
