1978 RB-250 Mastertone, in very good original condition (with the exception of new hooks) including case. Original tailpiece, armrest, and resonator. Two-piece tube and plate flange. specs include:20-hole flathead tone ring, 24 brackets, four corrugated thumbscrews hold resonator to rim, the varied pattern mother of pearl fingerboard inlays at frets 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 15 and 17 (the 17th is a flying bird) and then a rectangular of pearl inlaid at fret 21 that is etched “Mastertone.” The tailpiece is clamshell design. All tuners are geared with matching large pearloid buttons; the headstock is pointed at the top and is inlaid with first a diamond, then the postwar script “Gibson” name, then under that a four-point-diamond star with an engraved square at the center, then two lower case f-holes, one facing left and one facing right, and on the peghead, a black plastic bell-shaped truss rod cover. The ebony fingerboard is bound in single ply crème; the resonator and back of neck are mahogany.
