Purchased this fantastic instrument in 1979, the year it was made according to the Stelling website. Includes the original hardshell case. I never played in a band so this banjo stayed in its case at home most of the time. It's in excellent condition, you'd never know it's almost 33 years old. There is a little tarnish on the metal, not much, and a few belt buckle dents. I can take more pictures for those interested. 5th string is spiked on 7th, 9th, and 10th fret. I play openback clawhammer now all the time and I would love to see this grand instrument find a new home where it will be played.
