For sale is a Gold Tone Banjola, serial # 2712385, purchased new in 2008. I bought this banjola after playing it at Elderly Instruments and I couldn’t put it down. This banjola has a mellow lute-like tone and plays like a dream. I bought this banjola to play in a church worship band and I had a K&K Twin Spot Classic pick up installed by Elderly. Banjolas are quiet by virtue of their design which make them great for practice around the house and I use a little pig nose amp when I take it to a jam. The fingerboard is rosewood with RR spikes at 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12th frets. The top is spruce and maple sides and back with no scratches, dings or gouges. My wife and I attend a different church now, and I just don’t play the banjola enough to keep it. Also, I just bought a prewar TB-3 conversion, so something has to go. Here is a link to a sound clip of the banjola. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id86tkE87J4 This banjola comes with a Gold Tone HSC made by TKL which fits the exact contour of the instrument. The price of the banjola, pick up, and case new was about $825. I am asking $595 firm for the whole set plus shipping. I’ll even throw in a new set of strings! Email me with any questions. I live in southwest Michigan, if you want to pick it up you can save on shipping.
