Slingerland calfskin head. maple rim, 24 brackets, rolled tone hoop, mother of pearl inlays
Waverly tailpiece, add-on metal Elton resonator, 1-7/32" nut, 26-1/8" scale,
Built in Groton, CT where they built banjos from 1920 to September, 1938 when a hurricane closed the factory. Bacon serial numbers are CONTINUOUS, from the beginning, in 1906 (2-digit) to 1940 (5-digit), when the company was sold to Gretsch.
