These don’t come up for sale very often. An 11” Chuck Lee Prairieville open back banjo w/ HSC. SN 199, made in 2005, though you wouldn’t know it by looking at it. It is in EC condition showing only very light use.
When I got it, it had a Fiberskin head. I replaced it with a new Elite head. If you want I’ll include the Fiberskin head as well. All chrome is intact and cleaned up remarkably well with a bit of chrome polish and elbow grease. The frets show a slight bit of wear, but my tech told me it was not enough to be concerned about. The banjo currently has an 11/16 bridge and plays very comfortably. I added an adjustable arm rest.
The HSC is a new arched top Guardian with a built in humidity gauge and a leather style handle. It fits the deeper pot like it was made for it. The only issue with the case is that the instrument pocket lid is missing. There are no tears or marks, so I assume it was a manufacturing 2nd.
New, this banjo is $2,300 without case, and is generally discounted 10% max.
