I've bought and sold a lot of banjos and this one was definitely in the keeper category and the only 12" pot banjo that I have hung onto. But, I just purchased a much sought after banjo so now it's time to pay off the credit card. Most of you know who Bob Flesher is and know that he has been building and playing banjos for a very long time. Do yourself a favor and visit his website at http://www.flesherbanjo.com/
This custom banjo is stunning in every way. Most striking is the flamed maple neck, rim, and dowelstick. Icing on the cake is the backstrapping with red accents, marquetry, and inlays everywhere. It has an ebony boat shaped heel cap, rim cap and tone ring. The rim is deeper than that of conventional banjos and produces a deep, very rich tone. With steel strings it is equal to any banjo out there but really comes into it's own with minstrel strings and a low tuning. It comes with a perfectly fitting tweed TKL case. Both banjo and case are near mint. The price is a firm $2100 shipped, insured, and paypaled to the ConUS via USPS Priority Mail.
