This is a 1962 TB 100 conversion 5 String banjo. The original serial number is 56196 and the original tenor neck comes with this banjo. This banjo has a full 3/4'' 3 ply maple rim. I cut the rim down and installed a JLS #4 flathead tone ring. The neck is mahogany with a rosewood finger board, 1930's RB1 inlays in gold mother of pearl with a fiddle cut peg head. The banjo has the original planet tuning keys and tail piece. I can tell you that the keys work very nicely. The head is a new weatherking. The resonator is maple sunburt with dark brown mahogany on the sides with just the one binding strip. The resonator has the original finish and is in excellent shape.
For this banjo and a hardshell case I want $1200 or I'll trade for a good guitar of similiar value. I'd prefer either a Martin or Taylor. These pictures do not do this banjo justice. I have more pictures upon request. If I don't have the picture you want just let me know and I'll get that picture and send it to you.
Here is a link to a video of me playing this banjo just one day after getting it all put together.
