Up for sale is a Deering Maple Blossom 5-string resonator banjo from year 2000 - serial #8440. I've played this as my primary instrument for 10 years and it's time for someone else to enjoy it. It's been played a lot but kept in great shape. Only condition issues I can think of is the standard patina on the armrest and some very very small nicks on the edge of the headstock. There's also some fret wear consistent with having been played but I haven't found it to affect playability at all. I've added Schaller D-Tuners a very nice Deering leather strap. I have the original tuners as well.
This particular one also has some of the best maple flame pattern on both the resonator and the neck that I've seen. The color is like walnut and the neck is thin and fast.
Features:
Curly maple resonator and neck
3-ply maple rim
Deering bell bronze no-hole tone ring
one-piece zinc flange
Ebony fingerboard w/ MOP inlays, w/b/w binding
5th string spikes (7, 9)
Presto tailpiece
SS III bridge
Comes with Deering OHSC, strap, and original tuners.
