For Sale: A Long Neck Made To Your Druthers - $650 USD

I got this Gold Tone OT-800 long neck - just the neck - in a trade. I love GT necks. I've used a lot of them with my rims. They are well made, nicely finished, and fit my hand like they should. This long neck is slightly used and has 5 Star tuners and a Shubb sliding 5th string capo. It will make a long neck banjo that Pete Seeger would want to own, especially after he finds out it is mounted on one of my block rims. So, rather than me deciding what the lower end of this banjo will contain, this is a chance for a buyer to order a pot assembly that contains exactly what his/her dream banjo demands. The base price is $650 for an 11 inch woody (no metal tone ring) block rim - choice of maple, birch, cherry, walnut, or mahogany. Your choice of head. The options increase from here and the costs do, too. From a woody rim to a rolled brass 1/4 inch tone ring to a Rickard white lady ring to a Rickard tubaphone and last, to a tubaphone ring with a bracket band. The full up tubaphone with bracket band version will cost $1150. We could even do blue grass types of tone rings, but that would need to be negotiated. I could do all of these options in a 12 inch rim pot assembly, too. The prices increase by about $75 at all steps because of the increase on hardware costs. If you don't like it after it's done, I will take it back. $200 deposit ($100 non-refundable if you cancel or return the banjo).
