1998 Gibson Earl Scruggs Banjo. Good Condition. All original. It has a very powerful, punchy tone all the way up and down the neck with crisp, clear highs and growling bass. It just doesn't run out of steam. Very well balanced tone. I have found that the 97-98 model years were very good years for the Scruggs banjos for both tone and build quality. This one is no exception. Original Gibson/Kulesh ring. Railroad spikes already installed.
Comes with original Gibson hard shell case. Some fret wear on the first few frets and some small finish wear on the back of the neck. About what you'd expect for a well played but well taken care of 14 year old banjo. Has a nice mature played in tone compared to some closet queens. Nickle is excellent. Whoever ends up with it will be a very happy camper. My banjos come professionally setup for optimal performance and ready to play. If your looking for a tone like Earl's and a wonderful piece of Gibson history this is it.
