Sadly, it has become necessary to part with an old friend. I'm interested in finding a good home for my little Stelling Foggy Mtn. I've had it since new and it has traveled with me all of the US, Canada, Bahamas and even ol' Mexico! It made me sound better than I really am on a number of recordings with the Lost & Found, Sand Mountain and my solo banjo album, just to name a few. It appears on the cover of the L&F's "Just Pickin" recording. I even played it on the Grand Ol Opry! Coming to this decision has been difficult.......and I still won't consider selling to just anybody! Below is some more info.
This info came from the Stelling website:

In January, the first Foggy Mountain Banjo is built. Originally envisioned as a more economically priced instrument; a total of 30 of these banjos were made, bearing separate serial numbers of 1 - 30.
In April, John Hamlett started mandolin production again.
Guitar No. 001 - First Stelling guitar, model CHD-100. The first four were made of unstained cherry.
Mine is #22 and was built in March 1991.
