I am the second owner....I purchased it in 2010....the dealer I work with said it was an "overstock" one as he had been asked to purchase a bunch at a great price and was told they were Recording King's...only with a Flinthill name....so much has been said and the truth has yet to surface.
This banjo sounds and plays terrific....the finally set up with a Sosbee bridge and AMB J.D Crowe strings....the action is low and notes out great. This is a GOOD one.....having some un-expected medical problems and need to come up with some cash.
Will try to load pictures by tomorrow....I have taken good care of this banjo...it's in the case when not in use....some wear on the head from normal wear...some marks inside the resonator taking it apart I guess.....otherwise is in excellent shape.....
Comes with standard " Green felt" Recording King case...a Steve Davis maple/ebony 2.13 gr bridge...new set of Roy's own picks...Shubb capo....Earl Scruggs and the 5 string banjo (1968) in excellent shape.
Asking 540.00 or any reasonable offer considered.
Thanks for looking.
