Hi Everyone! Hope your New Year has been prosperous thus far...I am selling a 1927 Gibson Style 1 tenor banjo that has been converted to a one-piece flange, Huber HR-30 tone ring, PW Grover tailpiece (un-punched but drilled underneath cover), Sosebee maple bridge, Lonnie Hopper's D-tuners w/ivoroid buttons, Krishot pancake tuners, Five star fifth peg, Nickel-plated flange and hardware, very nice mahogany neck w/ Hearts and Flowers inlay on a rosewood board by Arthur Hatfield (I speed-necked the neck after I bought the banjo....feels great!), resonator has been re-finished...but with old double binding, rim was a shoe-and-bracket 3-ply cut for a one-piece flange and Huber flathead tone ring (the HR-30 nickel-plated w/short skirt, and twenty-holes), Remo head, Gary Sosebee bridge, new strings, comes with Superior hardshell case. I paid $2800.00 for the banjo, without a set-up, new head, bridge, tuner buttons, and fifth peg to match the tuners, So, I'm asking the same amount that I gave for it! It's a stellar banjo, I bought it to decide between another pre-war "parts" banjo that I recently acquired....the one I'm keeping has a radiused neck and is easier for me to play longer. I love this banjo in every way, but I like my other one just a smidge better due to the radiused neck. Thanks for looking, and I hope you are the one who takes this banjo home with them!
