This is a Gibson Copy banjo made from original and non original Gibson parts.
3 ply maple rim in great condition with the original finish, Nickle plated brass Gibson coordination rods. Gibson copy logo.
Vintage 2 pieces cast bronze flange with nice chrome finish.
Vintage 20 holes flat head chrome plated brass tone ring. delivers a loud and clear sound all the way up on the neck
Original Gibson presto tailpiece with the Gibson inscription.
New nickle plated brass armrest of the highest quality
5 strar high crown head in great condition ( not new)
The Walnut resonator has some dinks and over sanding areas but is solid and sound. it has been re finished with 10 coats of tung oil. makes a hard rock finish that wont peel or chip.
Neck is new, handmade by me with a nice piece of American black walnut hand finished with tung oil.
Neck is a bit over 1 1/4 inch at the nut and 1 13/16 at the heel. scale is 26 3/16 inches
Ebony fingerboard, heel cap and truss rod cover. All the inlays were hand cut and are 1/16 of an inch thick.
15% silver frets, Plastic binding in the gibson tradition with black side dots.
Bone nuts.
Waverly 2 band classic tuning machine and a Schlaller fifth string tuner.
The action is 2 mm at the 12th fret with a 11/16 inches bridge. The banjo is very easy to play, silky smooth to travel all the way on the fretboard.
Strings are Elixir medium gauge.
A very authentic bluegrass sounding banjo.
