Ive been playing Scruggs banjo now for 35 years and you have to just know when to quit. Up for sale is my 1970 Gibson RB-250 banjo. (Yes I know 70s.) The only negative issue with this thing is actually a positive. You see the lip that the tube and plate rests against finally failed as lots of 70s rb 250s do. However, I made a new cherry wood block rim to replace it which makes it sound so much better than it ever did, and is thicker and heavier than the original one, and very stable of course. The resonator binding is partly chipped see pictures. The four tuners were replaced at one time with five star tuners years ago. Right now it is sporting about a half inch tall bridge making the action smooth and playable. This banjo has been my main gig banjo for a bunch of years now. It really sounds and plays great! The tone ring is a heavy solid one that was put in about 1993. It might be a Sullivan I don't know. Shipping is 100 bucks continental US only please. Thanks for looking. Rich
