Mountain-style banjo offered here; it is totally playable as it is, but it would benefit from finishing in an artful way to suit your needs. Paint, decal, polyurethane, the sky's the limit. It still has a few pencil marks to be sanded off. I don't have time to finish it off, so you can save by doing a bit on your own. The pot is 11-3/4" outer diameter and has a tensioning system that tightens the 9" Remo Renaissance head. Top and bottom pot rings are made from aircraft birch plywood. It's 36" overall length, 25-1/2" scale length / 3-1/4" depth, nickel silver zero fret plus frets to 5th position. The remainder of the note positions are fitted with flush inlaid wood markers. Double ogee scooped walnut fret board has no markers but you can add whatever adornment you wish. The tuners are fitted ebony violin pegs and the strings are (I believe) LaBella 17's with a wound 4th string. Designed for lower tunings, with that being totally up to the user.
The frets make this a really nice playing instrument, but you can still do the slides further up the neck. You can pull the frets out and fill the slots (or not..) if you want a full fretless banjo.
This video demo should be pretty much explanatory as to how it sounds:
