1980 Model D with the classic ODE sound. This thing is a monster, sounds great on stage or recording studio. This banjo recorded better than most pre war Gibsons and others. This was the primary instrument for a player before I bought it 20 years ago. It has some gold worn off (especially the armrest) and some wear. It can be replated at Huber for $60.00. These are very collectible since 1980 was the last year of production. The banjo has spikes on the 5th string that stay in tune, when you use them.
