1977 Stew Mac kit banjo with other parts!
This banjo was started in the late 70's
Original owner assembled some good parts and never completed his project!
2nd owner just kept it together and never completed it either!
I bought it from him here on the Hangout 6 months ago and started to work on it!
PARTS
Stew Mac mahogany neck, resonator, beech 5 ply rim and I assume most of the metal parts!
Gibson one piece flange (50's or 60's has the dahlmer mark) Gibson bell bronze tone ring ...the heavy one!
Liberty ebony fret board, frets, nut and 5th string pip
I added the Vintage nickel plated Gotoh tuners
All the inlays are hand cut and inlaid by me!
Lacquer sprayed, no stain.... left it natural
It is a very easy playing and very good sounding banjo!
Comes with an older but very solid fiberglass case with a heavy duty leather handle!
