RK 35 maple neck and resonator. This is an "older' set, the fretboard is a very dark piece of rosewood, much prettier than the light brown rosewood currently being used.
Maple resonator has some interesting grain in it.
I used this neck and reso for several years, trying out various pots, tone rings, etc.
Was put together in this configuration about 3 yrs ago, and I left it this way.
Rim is one of the older un-turned, 3 ply rims that RK used to sell. Professionally turned for flange and flathead tone ring. Rim has had one coat of a light brown stain applied, long ago, but no finish.
I will honestly admit, I do not know what make of tone ring is on it, but I believe it is an older Sullivan "basic" pre-war style 20 hole rings. Nice, heavy ring that sounds good. Could possibly be an actual RK tone ring.
I have the truss rod cover somewhere....I'll try and find it and put it on.
Hardware is a combination of RK and Golden Gate.
Banjo sounds really nice. Deep, dry tone to it. Spikes at 7 & 9
I might be willing to tear this thing down and "part out" the neck and resonator, or pot......
