This is the popular Madison Openback with maple body, 'scooped' rosewood fretboard with pearl dot inlays, bone nut, 24 brackets around a Remo fiberskyn head, and planetary tuners. It has nickel plated armrest and dual adjustable coordinator rods. There is a fifth string capo spike at the 7th fret. I'm including a soft gig bag w/adjustable backpack straps.
The banjo is in new condition, a year or so old, but with one slight cosmetic blemish that can be seen in the closeup photo of the peghead. This is a small (1/8") V shaped part of the 'Recording King" label missing. This is the way it arrived from the factory and it was so trivial that I ignored it. If the prospective buyer is concerned about it, it can be easily touched up so as to be virtually invisible.
The Recording King OT-25 has been a great banjo for me, especially for the Old Time clawhammer playing I prefer. My reason for selling is that, lately, the instrument just sits there neglected since I've devoted myself full time to playing the fiddle.
