A pre war Gibson conversion TB-1 banjo converted to a five string flat head banjo S/N 9486-73. The conversion was preformed by Mr. Jim Mills master banjo player. The maple neck with full flying eagle inlay was made by Mr. Frank Neat. The banjos original 1930's pre war Gibson wood rim was fitted perfectly with a high profile 20 hole flathead tonering by Mr. Bill Blaylock. Comes with a brand new Delux Superior hardshell case. This banjo was bought and put together also set up by Jim Mills himself. The banjo must have been well cared for by the previous owners as the banjo finish looks almost new except for fine lines in the lacquer finish that was applied over 87 years ago. This banjo is also fitted with a set of Mr. Bill Keith's D tuners. Also comes with a McKinney/ Elliott Elite modal capo.
