This open back banjo built by Wayne Sagmoen has a lot going on: meticulous and fine construction with cherry pot, ebony fingerboard and classic ebony headstock overly with MOP crescent moon and star inlay; love the moons face profile. Mr. Sagmoen manufactured key components in the early days of the Nechville Co. It is fretless for the first 7 frets with brass plate the same height as the frets for easy transition. With the aid of side dot markers - remarkably easy to intonate in those positions! It has a wonderful balanced tone and a joy to play. Has a Little Mountain cherry armrest. The scale length is 24-3/4" with nominal 1-1/4" nut width. The instrument comes in a nice Boulder Apline Series Gig bag. Excp clean – appears as made. $1150 / OBO
