Brooks Masten 11" Cherry & Walnut Spartan Banjo & Case
Here is an excellent opportunity to own a mint Brooks Masten banjo and brand new case at 70% of the new retail cost from Brooks. Please note too that the current wait time for a Brooks Masten banjo is 6 - 8 months with an actual wait time of 8 - 12 months. I know this because I have purchased custom banjos from Brooks in the past.
This Spartan model banjo, #251, was completed by Brooks and invoiced on Jan 4, 2013. I am the second owner. The original owner is a friend who also lives here in Florida.
The banjo is in excellent condition. There are no dents, dings or flaws. Some of the hardware is slightly tarnished. Some folks would consider the banjo to be in mint or like new condition. I always am very conservative when I list an instrument for sale.
This banjo spent its life in air conditioned, smoke free homes. I am reluctantly selling this very fine instrument. I have decided to limit my banjo collection to the three Rickard banjos. The original invoice from Brooks showing a cost of $2120.00. This invoice did not include the cost of a hard shell case.
Included with the banjo is a brand new Superior archtop case. The case is in very good condition. A new, Superior archtop hardshell cases at Elderly Instruments retails for sell for $120.00 plus shipping.
