Beautiful 10 inches spunover maple/ brass rim on which I added a custom made rolled brass tone ring for a deeper and louder sound. All the aged brass hardware is new except for the shoe brackets. The rim is very solid with small dinks in the brass but no deep scratches or bruises. A very good quality but unknown maker rim from another era probably early 1900 or late 1800.
2 pieces hard maple neck with a walnut center strip and lamination under the head plate and heel cap. 24 inches scale. Ebony fingerboard and head stock veneer. 1 3/8 inch wide at the nut and 2 inches at the heel.
Set up wit a 5/8 moon bridge. The action is low and comfortable with a lot of space between the strings and the head and over the scoop for clawhammer playing style.
