This banjo is truly a collector's item. This banjo was commissioned by J.D. Crowe and Rickey Wasson to commemorate J.D.'s "retiring" in 2011. It was built in the style of the Gibson RB-75 by Frank Neat. It features a Blaylock tone ring hand-picked by J.D. and Prucha hardware. Using the best wood available and hide-glue construction this is one of the best modern banjos I've ever played. It also has a Shelton leather strap just like J.D.'s with his initials. Also Keith D-tuners are installed with extra Krishot tuners included. 5th String spikes at 7 & 9. The banjo comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by J.D. and has signatures in the resonator by J.D. and Frank. THIS IS THE ONLY ONE MADE. Another "New South" was made with gold plating and is currently for sale at $7500. This banjo is all you would expect from the hands of Frank Neat and will be collector's item for the years to come. If you have any questions about this banjo don't hesitate to call or text. 615-683-5840 Thanks for looking!
