Here is a very nice 1926 Gibson Banjo that has a 5 string conversion neck that has the Lucas inlay pattern. I made a double cut peghead instead of the original pattern. This is a great sounding banjo like it is! I did not have the heart to ruin a nice banjo like this by cutting the rim to add a flathead tone ring! It makes a very nice lite weight version to play on stage! I have the original tenor case, tenor neck and the 2 tab tuners. The original tailpiece that has not been tampered with to ruin the valve of it! Some of these has sold for more than $500 dollars! This one is very nice! I put a new Presto adjustable one on it, instead. I have the original wrench that came with the banjo and it looks just like new! I've seen these sell for close to $100 dollars! The 2 tabs tuners have sold fairly high too! I have a new full size banjo case for the converted banjo but it can easily be changed back to the tenor version!All of the original metal is still shiny and none of it is wore through to the brass! It is a great looking banjo to be as old as it is! To my knowledge, it is the original finish and it looks great. There are a few scratches but not really noticeable or distracking.The only noticeable flaw is the bottom of the heel cap has a place where the resonator cut into the finish because it was not cure out enough yet! Other than that, it looks very nice! I have 2 tenor bridges to go with this set. I'm asking $1800 for all of this or I can sell it separately! Just let me know what you are interested in and I'll let you know what I'd be willing to do! I am only selling this to pay off a debt!
