Hi Everyone,
I have for sale a truly amazing banjo that I've been putting together for a while, and it was finally finished three months ago, and it is really great. I have to sell because I just had a chance to get a banjo I've wanted for a while, and need to sell this to pay for the other one.
This banjo is a really interesting banjo, it's very unique. The banjo is a Robin Smith pot assembly with a neck built by a good friend of mine, Ben Pearce, who builds awesome mandolins and guitars under the name "Outlier Workshops" The pot assembly is a dannick rim with a nasa aluminum tonering (a full weight ring could easily be put in) that I got from Tom Mirisola. The flange is an american made banjo flange and the tension hoop and tailpiece are unplated prucha. The resonator is mahogany with style 4 concentric rings (really cool looking!). The neck is mahogany, and is laminated with two thin strips of ebony. (mahogany/ebony/mahogany/ebony/mahogany). This makes the neck a bit more stable. The fingerboard is rosewood and has a compound radius that is 7" at the nut. This neck is a little thicker and wider than a standard neck and is very comfortable.
$3000 or make an offer.
I will post more photos later. email me if you have any questions.
Thanks!
-Gabe
