This is about the same as a Saga resonator kit banjo but it's not. It has a saga aluminum archtop pot, saga neck, saga resonator, hatfield bridge, tailpiece?, remo head. The holes for the neck bolts on the pot were oversizes so I made a aluminum plate instead of using the washers that came with it, it works a lot better and makes a very solid connection. This banjo plays and sounds ok but I'm not a set up expert so I'm sure it could be improved with a better set up; however, it is very playable the way it is right now. I put this together for my daughter but she lost interest in the banjo (she came home from school with a trumpet). I would value this banjo at about $300.00. Also, the pot has a few scuff marks on the outer rim but they are not visible with the resonator on, they are deep enough that they will not polish off. The wood is in very good condition. I would like to trade this for a 5 string open back banjo of equal value or an open back pot assembly. No case with this one, local pickup only or I can drive a resonable distance. I live in south central Illinois. This is a good solid banjo with no major problems and lightweight too.
Thanks for looking
