This is a 17-fret Slingerland 4-string open back tenor banjo. 10-3/4" rim, 21" inch scale length.
Very good condition. All original, except the tuners (relatively new Grover tuners), bridge, and head (newly mounted skin head).
The number on the dowel stick (111) is a model number, not a serial number. I don't know for sure, but I'd guess it was made in the 1930s.
This instrument has no problem, plays easily, and sound great. It's currently set up with Nylgut strings, with a re-entrant baritone uke tuning (dGBE). It's a fun alternative to a 5-string.
No case or gig bag. Priced for a quick sale.
