I would like to trade this for a 5 string open back or a good open back pot assembly of equal value. I would value this banjo at about $450.00. It's a Flinthill FHB 260 flathead. It plays and sounds good and comes with the original arch top hardcase that is in very good condition. This banjo has been speed necked and the black paint has been removed from the sides of the resonator. The wood is NOT very attractive but there are no breaks or cracks anywhere. It has the 20 hole tone ring and 3 ply maple rim. This banjo has the slim neck profile which a lot of people like except for me. I need a thicher neck. That's why I'm letting this one go. It's actually a pretty good banjo but I just don't like the slim neck and I don't play it anymore. As far as I know this banjo has never had a professional setup but it plays ok the way it is. I would like to deal locally of possible and would be willing to drive a reasonable distance. I live in south central Illinois. Don't want to deal with packing and shipping.
Thanks for looking.
