I have another 2004 Gibson Blackjack for sale.
I know you can't beleive all you read on the internet but the truth is that my wife was just diagnosed with cancer during a hospital stay this Christmas and I am about to move this banjo and an Earl Scruggs Special in mint condition. Let me know if you are interested in either. Serious inquires only. My price on the Earl Scruggs Special will be $8500.
Had JD Crowe autograph the head of this one also at a recent concert. He told me this is his last year of touring. This is sure to be a sought after collector's model. It is a great sounding/playing instrument with spikes at 7/8/9th fret. This 2004 model has developed a very nice pantina gold finish. It is antiqued looking and resembles a copper penny. This is not a shiny gold Blackjack like a lot of the later models. Please see pictures. Average fret wear mostly on lower five frets. Very minor ding on side of resonator. Comes with Sosebee Maple Bridge and original Crowe spaced Snuffy Smith 5/8" bridge. Strap does not come with banjo.
Gibson hardshell case with a replacement handle on this case. Case is in great shape other than the replacement handle. I have bought two Scruggs models and just don't need this banjo. It looks/plays/sounds great!
I will pay ground shipping to lower 48 States...USA only.
