This model has flush frets and star markings branded onto the neck. Works great for people who want to get that fretless sound, but still have fret position markers.
I have been making banjos with the object being to make a basic, almost primitive banjo similar to the ones common around the Civil War era. I also wanted to come up with a banjo that had a good sound and would be very playable for clawhammer and other folk styles.
Pictures show an example of this type of banjo I make. This banjo model is $250.
Banjo has a 13" three-ply white oak pot, maple neck, calfskin head, and fiddle tuners. The neck is scooped in order to give plenty of room for frailing and still keep close action where the neck is played.
These banjos are very basic, but very playable. If you are looking for something with perfect fit and finish (factory banjo), these banjos are not right for you. If you are looking for something that really does the trick for old time music, these banjos sound and work great.
Satisfaction is guaranteed. If you purchase a banjo and discover that it really isn't right for you, I will refund your money, less shipping costs, once the banjo is returned.
Buyer pays flat rate of $18.00 for shipping within the continental US (includes insurance). Cost to ship international will be calculated based on buyer's location.
Thanks! --Eric
