Vintage Fender Artist - made in the USA
This banjo is most likely a late 60s model, and is definitely one of the cleanest ones I've ever seen.
The walnut neck has a nice, slim profile. It's currently set-up with an 11/16" Prowler bridge and a 5-Star frosted head. I believe the fingerboard is rosewood. All hardware is chrome plated. The tailpiece is a clamshell style. I can include the original tailpiece also if the buyer wants it. The hooks and nuts are brand new parts. The frets show very minimal wear. There are no visible dents, dings, scratches or repairs. Had two tiny holes from the original 5th string capo.
For those not familiar with these banjos, they're a bit on the heavy side (12-13 lbs.) They are very fine sounding and playing instruments, and are made to last a lifetime. They are head and shoulders above the newer Korean made Fenders, in my opinion.
I'd like to get $1295 for this one, but might even do a trade, up or down, with cash on either side.
Will come shipped in a non-original TKL hard case.
