I am the 2nd owner of this fine banjo: Jason Mogi's #27. It's a fantastically easy player and a ton of sound for the price. Beautifully built. Also a special banjo as it is featured in Jason's segment in the Banjo Builders of North America DVD. The relevant details:
- wide walnut neck with ebony fingerboard and peg-head overlay and super-cool and comfortable scoop edges
- 12" pot with rolled brass tone-ring and goat-skin head
- Rickard brass hardware
- Pegheds geared tuners
- Nylgut minstrel gauge strings
From the original ad: a minstrel banjo on steroids. Built for low tunings, it has a deep, growly sound but with good articulation and plenty of volume. Comes with Superior gigbag. You can see better pics at: http://www.banjohangout.org/classifieds/detail.asp?cid=24965
Buyer pays actual shipping costs and 3% Paypal fees if that's how you want to pay. I'll put up a Youtube video in the next day or two so you can hear how it sounds.
