This banjo belongs to my brother-in-law who inherited from his recently deceased brother in Florida. He knows nothing about the banjo’s history and is selling it so as to settle the estate. The banjo appears in near perfect condition however expert inspection has determined that it was probably refinished then never played after that. The serial number is only partially visible which indicates a probable sanding. The first three numbers are 070 indicating a 1967 date while the remaining three numbers are difficult to decipher. The frets are tarnished but show no wear and there are only a few very minor checks on the headstock. The chrome parts look brand new and the frosted head has no play marks. Case is in excellent condition and appears to be original. As far as I can tell, all parts are original except for the head.
