I have for sale a Gold Tone BG-250 banjo. The BG-250 is a convertible instrument which maybe played in either a resonator or open back configuration. The conversion takes 5-10 minutes and involves the removal of four thumb screws on the resonator and four attachment plates from the bracket hooks. The banjo has a bell brass flathead tone ring, mahogany neck and resonator (with some figure), and rosewood fretboard. Included with the instrument is a TKL hardshell case.

This banjo is in excellent condition. It was my first decent banjo, and I babied it during the years it was my primary instrument. As a result it is very clean, with only slight play wear on the first few frets. There are two minor issues which can be seen in the images linked above. First is a tiny ding in the resonator finish. I have an image of it next to a dime for scale. Second is finish crack between laminations on the rim. This crack is about 2 inches long. I've had this banjo for over ten years, the crack appeared shortly after I bought it and hasn't grown or changed since that time.
I am happy to ship either UPS or USPS, at the buyer's choice. The buyer pays actual shipping cost.
