Over the past several months I have been able to obtain a pot assembly and resonator from a 1984 Gold Star GF-100 (originally from a HF model) and a neck with coordinator rods from a 1986 Gold Star GF-100 HF. The parts are in very good condition but are not mint. There is very little patina on the metal parts. On the resonator, there are some light scratches and a ding or two but it's in very good condition as well. The neck has a finish crack on the bottom heel but is in very good condition. There is some wear on the first few frets but it's still very playable. The tailpiece that comes with it may or may not be original. It is a clamshell tailpiece without the clam- the top cover is missing but it works just fine. I will also include a bridge. My plan was to have a friend that builds banjo necks fit the neck to the pot so this will have to be done to complete the instrument. Essentially, that's it. Someone who knows about woodwork and banjo necks needs to fit the neck to the pot, adjust, and put some strings on it. The neck includes Gotoh tuners. Pictures- I have posted several pictures of the resonator and neck at Society Hill homepage here on the Hangout. The resonator shows up on the primary page, the neck is in an album under "Photos". A used, but very functional hard case is included to round everything out. At this time, I would like to sell this as a unit because I have been working on completing the project. If it doesn't sell to someone who can complete it, I will re-advertise and part it out. This could make someone a really nice instrument but I just can't complete it right now. Thanks for reading through this and for looking.
